Cook Islands

On an unspecified day in the 1970s, my father found himself in the Cook Islands onboard a sailboat constructed by his own hand. He went on to have far more adventures, but he longed to bring his family back to this abandoned cay in the South Pacific. An island surrounded by a barrier reef, mostly unchanged in the last 50 years.

All images were shot with a Nikon F100 on Velvia slide film.
